The national futsal team of Moldova will play three matches of the first qualifying round of the 2016 World Championship on October 22-25. In Group A, Moldova will meet Andorra, Georgia, and Gibraltar, IPN reports.

The games will be take place at the Futsal Arena FMF sports complex in Ciorescu. Only the winner of the group qualifies for the next round, where it will meet Italy, Slovakia, and Macedonia.

“We do not accept another result than qualification. We still remember how we failed dramatically to qualify in the previous competition,” Moldova coach Vladimir Vusatyi told a news conference.

The lineup of Moldova for the three matches: Alexandru Crivoi, Alexandru Timbalist, Sergiu Nicolaiciuc, Oleg Chitoroagy (all from Progress Chisinau), Oleg Hilotii, Andrei Negara, Leonid Podlesnov (all from Olimpia Balti), Diego Gherman (Sporting Chisinau), Cristian Obada, Sergiu Tacot (both from FIAT Autobergamo Deva, Romania), Andrian Lascu, Constantin Burdujel (both from United Galati, Romania), Alexei Muntean (FC Etnikos Cyprus), and Mihail Didic (FC Tiumen Russia).

Moldova plays the first match, against Andorra, on October 22, starting at 6:30pm. The same day, Georgia meets Gibraltar. The tickets for a day (two matches) cost 30 de lei.
