The 13th meeting of the Moldova-EU Parliamentary Association Committee will take place at the European Parliament on March 23. The delegation of Moldova’s Parliament consists of the Committee’s co-chairman Mihail Popșo and Committee members Olesea Stamate and Ina Coșeru, IPN reports.
The meeting will center on the European integration of the Republic of Moldova, the progress made in the process, the geopolitical situation, strengthening of democracy and the rule of law in Moldova, the justice sector reform and the fight against corruption. A number of recommendations and a joint statement are to be adopted as a result of discussions.
The Moldova-EU Parliamentary Association Committee is the parliamentary forum that works based on the Moldova-EU Association Agreement. It consists of members named by Moldova’s Parliament and the European Parliament, who come together twice a year either in Chisinau or in Brussels.
