The national football team of Moldova slipped eight spots in the FIFA rankings to the 132nd. Moldova is to play the last two matches of the Euro 2016 qualifying rounds, against Russia in Chisinau on October 9, and against Sweden in Solna on October 12, IPN reports.
Among Moldova’s opponents in Group G, Austria takes the best position – 11th. Russia ranks 26th, Sweden – 45th, Montenegro – 72nd, while Liechtenstein – 156th.
The FIFA rankings are topped by Argentine, which is followed by world champion Germany and by Belgium. The next rankings will be released on November 5, 2015.
