The “Moldova Eco Energetica” Week will take place in Moldova between November 28 and December 2. A number of events dedicated to the promotion of energy efficiency and renewable energy will be staged in Chisinau during several days. These will end with the Gala “Moldova Eco-Energetica”, where the most remarkable projects in the field will be awarded, IPN reports.
Director of the Energy Efficiency Agency Mihai Stratan presented the main activities of the “Moldova Eco Energetica” Week. He said it is the second consecutive year that a whole week is dedicated to the subject of energy, namely to the presentation of the whole potential existing in this field.
“The events will involve representatives of a number of states, such as Germany, Romania, Poland, and China, and of the development partners. These days, dedicated to the eco energy week, become interesting at regional level too. There will be discussed not only subjects concerning the Republic of Moldova, but also issues related to the regional context,” stated Mihai Stratan.
The planned events include the Fair of Eco-Responsible Projects, the Forum “Bioenergie – 2016” and the Gala to award the best eco energy projects.
The organizers said the implementation of eco energy projects not only increases the people’s access to clean energy, but essentially contributes to reducing Moldova’s dependence on foreign suppliers. Moreover, the given projects contribute to the development of the national economy, including by creating new jobs.
The national contest “Moldova Eco Energetica” was launched in 2012. The “Moldova Eco Energetica” Week will be held between November 28 and December 2. It is organized for the second consecutive year by the Ministry of Economy, the Energy Efficiency Agency and the EU-UNDP Moldova Energy and Biomass Project. Earlier, this event was devoted a day.
