Moldova drop four places in FIFA rankings

Moldova’s national football team dropped four places in the world country rankings published on Wednesday, October 3, by the International Football Federation (FIFA), Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Tricolors are ranked 145th with 187pts. Last month, Moldova suffered two defeats in the qualifiers for the World Cup 2014: a 0-5 thrashing at the hands of England and a 0-2 defeat to Poland.
On October 12 and 16, the players coached by Ion Caras will take on Ukraine on home soil and will travel to San Marino.
The rankings of Moldova’s group rivals changed as well. England dropped to 5th place and Ukraine to 42nd, while Montenegro rose to 44th and Poland to 54th. San Marino remain the bottom side on 203rd place.
European and world champions Spain remain top of the bunch, followed by Germany and Portugal.
