The Moldovan authorities provided over 2,000 units of blood products or about 550 kg of blood for the treatment of victims of the Bucharest nightclub fire, IPN reports.
In a communique, the Ministry of Health says the hemotransfusional assistance consists of frozen fresh plasma and biomedical blood preparations (human albumin) that are vitally necessary in case of burns, fractures, etc.
The donation will be transported by the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service by a SMURD ambulance. The vehicle is to arrive in Bucharest in the morning of November 2.
Thirty persons died and 137 were hospitalized as a result of the nightclub fire that happened in Bucharest on the night of October 31. According to the Ministry of Health of Romania, 57 of those hurt are in a critical or serious state or are intubated.
