During the past 30 years, the Republic of Moldova didn’t have reintegration policies and thus confronts contradictory discussions, security expert Rosian Vasiloi said in the talk show “Emphasis on today” on TVR Moldova channel. According to hum, this happens because there are forces that benefit from the Transnistrian conflict, IPN reports.
“There are forces in Moldova, Ukraine, the left side of the Nistru, the Russian Federation that fully benefit from thE status quo of non-settled Transnistrian conflict,” stated the expert, noting very technical subjects are now discussed, but they should conceptually discuss the reintegration of the Republic of Moldova.
Ion Cebanu, vice president of the Liberal Party, said the Moldovan authorities permanently concede to the Transnistrian administration because they want to solve particular problems for the benefit of the citizens from the left side of the Nistru. “I have the impression that less orthodox and legal things are done under this pretext, like smuggling, for example, as we do not control this region that attacked Moldova’s sovereignty since its appearance,” he stated, noting the current-format negotiations held by Chisinau and Tiraspol will lead nowhere.
Viorel Cernăuțeanu, of the Bureau fort Reintegration Policies, said the free movement will be among the key subjects at the negotiations between Chisinau and Tiraspol. Special attention will be devoted to the Romanian-language schools working in Transnistria. “There are also overdue problems related to the farmland. A part of this land belongs to the public authorities or dead persons or persons who left abroad and we cannot yet identify the potential owners or their successors. A lot is yet to be done,” stated Viorel Cernăuțeanu.
