Moldova deserves to be supported in obtaining a clear European perspective, Hungary’s Ambassador in Chisinau Mátyás Szilágyi said in a meeting with Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici. The Hungarian diplomat noted that Moldova is an example for other states, including as regards tolerance in the intercommunity relations, IPN reports.
“Hungary considers that Moldova deserves to be supported in obtaining a clear European perspective. The relations between Moldova and Hungary are very good, being based on common historical traditions. We want to intensify our cooperation in different areas” said Mátyás Szilágyi. He underlined his country’s readiness to support Moldova in such areas as agriculture and food safety and in water management and environment projects.
Chiril Gaburici stated that the European integration is a real chance for modernizing Moldova and for improving people’s living standards. He appreciated Hungary’s support for Moldova’s European integration efforts, saying Hungary is an important partner of Moldova.
The interlocutors pleaded for strengthening the economic relations and for extending the cultural relations. The bilateral relations between Moldova and Hungary are regulated by 60 treaties in different areas.
