Moldova defeated by Israel

Moldova were defeated by Israel, 3-1, in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday. The Tricolors had a fair performance in the first half and missed several occasions to score, until the first goal by Elyaniv Barda put a dint in Moldova’s hopes. The second half was visibly dominated by the hosts, who scored another two goals: first David Ben Dayan knocked the ball in from a corner kick and then Barda provided a double. By the end of the game the Tricolors grew offensive and scored a consolation goal, with a strike from 25 meters by Denis Calincov.
