Moldova climbs one spot in FIFA rankings

The national football team of Moldova takes the 166th spot in the FIFA rankings for this month released on January 18. This is one spot up compared with the previous rankings, IPN reports.

On January 27, Moldova meets South Korea, while on January 30 Azerbaijan. The two games are played within the training session in Antalya.

Moldova manager Alexandru Spiridon summoned the following players for the two friendlies: Nicolae Calancea, Sergey Pashchenko, Ilie Cebanu – goalkeepers; Radu Rogac, Petru Racu, Veaceslav Posmac, Artiom Rozgoniuc, Dinu Graur, Andrei Makritski, Valeriu Makritski, Ion Jardan – fullbacks; Alexandr Pashchenko, Alexandru Antoniuc, Andrei Cojocari, Alexandru Dedov, Maxim Mihaliov, Vadim Paireli, Sergiu Platica, Dan Taras, Danu Spataru, Vladislav Ivanov – halfbacks; Vladimir Ambros and Vitalie Damascan – strikers.
