Moldova and Bulgaria agreed to intensify the bilateral cooperation. The issue was discussed in a meeting of Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Natalia Gherman and Bulgarian Foreign Minister Kristian Vigenin, who paid a visit to Moldova, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Natalia Gherman said the Moldovan authorities are preoccupied with the protection and development of the national minorities, in accordance with the European standards.
While in Moldova, the Bulgarian official, together with Deputy Foreign Minister Valeriu Chiveri, took part in the opening of the Information Center on Bulgaria and the European Union in Taraclia, which was opened with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria.
Kristian Vigenin gave a lecturer entitled “European path of Bulgaria and Moldova’s prospects” at the University of Taraclia. He said the implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU will contribute to increasing investments in Moldova and will offer the people new opportunities.
