The national women’s football team of Moldova defeated the similar squad of Lithuania 3-1 in a friendly match played in Tiraspol, IPN reports.
Lithuania opened the score in the 28th minute through Vaiciulaityte, but after the pause Moldova tied and then scored two more goals through Toma, Miron and Tabur. The best footballer of 2017 Ludmila Caraman was also close to scoring, but missed a penalty.
The second friendly will be played in Vadul lui Voda town on March 4. In April, the national football team trained by Alina Stetsenko will meet at home the national squads of Italy and Romania within the qualifying campaign for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
