Moldova beach soccer team beaten by Ukraine

The national beach soccer team of Moldova on September 8 suffered a 2-7 defeat to the squad of Ukraine within the second qualifying round of the 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, European zone, held in the Italian town Jesolo. Both of the goals for Moldova were scored by Nicolae Ignat, IPN reports.

On September 7, Moldova was defeated by Russia 3-8 .On September 9, it plays against Poland.

Russia ranks first in the group, followed by Poland and Ukraine. Moldova ranks last with no point.

Earlier, in the first qualifying round, Moldova scored two victories, 3-0 against England and 7-3 against Romania, and suffered a 0-15 defeat to Portugal. Only the winner of group III will qualify for the 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup that will take place in Bahamas.
