Moldova and Turkey maintain a constant political dialogue both at bilateral and international level, Premier Vasile Tarlev and members of the Grand National Assembly’s delegation headed by Yasar Yakis, head of the Committee for harmonization with the European Union, have remarked during a meeting.
According to a press release from the Government, an assessment of the Moldovan-Turkish bilateral relations and perspectives of their further development has been performed as part of the meeting.
Interlocutors pleaded for intensifying cooperation within regional organizations, such as the Process of Cooperation in South-East Europe and Organisation of Black See Economic Cooperation, by carrying out joint projects profitable for both sides.
Premier welcomed the idea of intensifying the inter-parliamentary dialogue between both states and stressed the importance of developing the cooperation between the governments. Tarlev emphasized the necessity of teaming up in an attempt to mobilize economic potential that is not fully implemented.
Additionally, interlocutors opted for organising frequent meetings with businessmen and exhibitions of goods and services in Moldova and Turkey.
The Turkish delegation is on a visit to Moldova from 5 to 8 December. The visit agenda includes meetings with speaker Marian Lupu, minister of Justice, deputy minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
The Turkish delegation is composed of the Secretary of the Commission Öner Gülyeşil, Party of Justice and Development, members of Haluk Koç Commission, Republican People’s Party, Ersin Arioğlu, Republican People’s Party, Zekeriya Akçam, Party of Justice and Development, as well as Hakan Akbulut, consultant of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs within the EU Commission Ulaş Gönen Kirli, Foreign Relations and Protocol Department within the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
