Moldova and China conclude an Economic Assistance Agreement

Moldova will conclude an Economic Assistance Agreement with the People’s Republic of China. The event will take place during the 2-day visit of the delegation from China, headed by Wu Bangguo, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of the People’s Representatives of China. According to the press service of the Parliament, Bangguo arrives in Chisinau on Saturday morning, 20 May. The Chinese official will meet with the speaker Marian Lupu, and in the afternoon will visit to CIE „Moldexpo”, accompanied by the leadership of Moldova. The minister of economy and commerce, Valeriu Lazar, will conclude in the same day with Yu Guangzhou, deputy minister of commerce of RPC, the Economic Assistance Agreement. On Sunday, the members of the Chinese delegation will meet with president Vladimir Voronin and the prime-minister Vasile Tarlev. The agenda includes as well visiting of the „Mileştii Mici” wine factory, the Ethnography Museum, meetings with the representatives of Chinese community in Moldova. The visit will end with a special show at the National Palace. The press service of the Parliament made public as well the program of the visit of the spouse of Wu Bangguo, Zhang Ruizhen. Mrs Ruizhen, together with the speaker’s spouse Victoria Lupu, will visit, on Saturday, the Sports Dance Club „Codreanca”, House-Museum „A. Puskin” and CIE „Moldexpo”. On Sunday, the ladies will visit the National Creation Palace for Children and Teenagers, the Monastery Saint Tiron of Chisinau, the Ethnography Museum, and in the evening will take part in the special show. Bilateral Moldovan-Chinese relations are regulated by 35 agreements and treaties in force, now being drafted other four new cooperation agreements in different fields.
