Those who will visit the Wine Festival “Tulburel” (“Thick New Wine”) at the National Exhibitions Center on October 3 and 4 will enjoy wines of a high quality, warm dishes, exhibitions of handmade objects and good mood. This year the National Wine Day has a different format as the holiday is marked at the largest national wineries that prepared special programs and also at Moldexpo, where “Tulburel” takes place, IPN reports.

At Moldexpo, the people came in high spirits to taste wine made from grapes of this year’s harvest. “I almost annually come to these festivities. I tasted wine and bought a bottle of wine for myself,” said one of the visitors.

“I wait for this festival because it is a pleasure for me and a tradition that represents our country,” said another visitor who just tasted new thick wine.

Several men said the scale of the event this year is much smaller than the previous years, when it was more interesting. “Earlier, this festival brought together the largest and most successful wine producers of Moldova. There were much more people there. This year the wineries stage celebrations themselves and charge an entrance fee.  When this holiday was held in the Great National Assembly Square, it was much better,” said a visitor.

Activities on the occasion of the National Wine Day 2015 are staged at ten Moldovan wineries under the common country brand “Wine of Moldova. Living legend”. The wine producers prepared recreational events to bring the people closer to the winemaking traditions of Moldova.

The activities were coordinated by the National Office of Vine and Wine, which set up an information stall near the square of the Metropolitan Cathedral in central Chisinau.

Traditionally, the National Wine Day is celebrated on October 3-4. Owing to the protests mounted in the central square of Chisinau, this year the event is marked in a new format.
