Moldexpo hosts 13th exhibition “Infoinvest”

More than 450 inventions of authors from six countries were displayed at the 13th international exhibition “Infoinvest” that was opened at Moldexpo on November 19, IPN reports.

Lilia Bolocan, director general of the State Intellectual Property Agency, said in the launch that the exhibition’s goal is to encourage creative people from different areas, including children. This year the areas of activity featured at the exhibition were extended. The exhibits will be analyzed by a jury consisting of national and international experts. The authors of the most interesting inventions will be awarded.

President of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova Gheorghe Duca said that the event this year involves not only scientific researchers, but also businessmen who present the newest scientific discoveries.

Jean-Luc Vincent, head of the Geneva International Inventions Fair, said the exhibition is the best method of promoting new inventions. For six years, the exhibits in Geneva have included works from Moldova. “There are very many good and less good exhibitions. I urge you to have courage and take part and exhibit your works,” he stated.

Craftswoman Ludmila Apostos exhibited woodenware made according to a new technique, by segmenting the wood and keeping its natural color. Every item is unique. The products are made only by order for minimum 400 lei apiece.

Adrian Vlas, student from Sarata Galbena, Hancesti, brought a motorcycle with three wheels, which is his fifth invention. The motorcycle has a car engine and can be used for domestic purposes and for taking the bride and groom for a ride on the wedding day. The vehicle was assembled during five months and the parts cost €3,000.

Beekeeper Svetlana Mandru from Floresti presented a wide range of bee products, including honey and handmade candles as well as medicinal brochures about how to stabilize the blood pressure and to improve the work of the pancreas and liver. The products cost between 25 and 70 lei.

Infoinvest 2013” brought together about 170 participants. It will continue until November 22.
