Mobile phone operator Moldcell presented today its renewed brand. Starting with the first day of the second decade of work in Moldova, the company will be represented by the purple color. A stone with white stripes symbolizing the company's spirit was chosen as representative element, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In a news conference on Wednesday, Moldcell director general Chiril Gaburici said the decision to change the image was taken two years ago. Moldcell is the fifth company in the TeliaSonera group that underwent reformation.
“During ten years, we managed to make about 1 million friends. Thus, the jubilee that we mark is a joint anniversary - ours and our friends',” Gaburici said. Moldcell now has more than 3,000 service points located all over the country. They have been “recolored” purple during one night.
The change of image includes the substitution of the options Alocard, Yoyo, Fantasy and Postpaid with three simpler communication options. From today, the clients can choose between Cartela Moldcell, Abonament Moldcell and Moldcell Business. The three tariff plans include: Tarif unic, Prietenii mei and Reteaua mea.
Over ten years, Moldcell has invested about 1.7 billion lei in the country's infrastructure and used another 2 billion lei to cover the costs related to taxes, salaries, sociocultural projects.
TeliaSoneira intends to invest about 180 million lei in developing the infrastructure of the mobile phone carrier Moldcell.
In the news conference it was announced that the company will soon make the 4G service available in Moldova.
