Several dozens of employes of the state-run company MoldATSA resumed the protests in front of the Supreme Court of Justice on February 16. They demand that the former director of the company Valerian Vartic be reinstated in the post and that the case in which he was investigated be reexamined, Info-Prim Neo reports. On September 1, 2009, Valerian Vartic was given a five-year suspended sentence and dismissed from post for abuse of power, being accused of spending more money than planned for dental services for the company's employees. The employees of MoldATSA say yet their director was judged groundlessly. “This is not public money. It is the money of the company, our finances. We finance ourselves. During 15 years, the state provided no financial resources for developing this company (...) How can the state consider that Valerian Vartic abused his position?” asked Valentin Prodan, vice chairman of the company's trade union. The employees say they will protest until Valerian Vartic is reinstated as director of the Air Traffic Services Authority MoldATSA.
