The first activities were launched to modernize the Chisinau Wastewater Treatment Station within the Key Investments Program that is financed with loans from the EBRD and EIB, the public utility SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau has said in a communique, quoted by IPN.
The administration and specialists of the company, together with international consultants, paid a working visit to the Wastewater Treatment Station. These repeatedly examined all the processes to rehabilitate the station that were earlier included in the plan of action.
During the last three decades, a number of activities were initiated to rehabilitate the station, but these didn’t produce the expected results. Within these activities, huge losses were sustained and a series of constructions remained unfinished.
The Chisinau Wastewater Treatment Station was built in 1968.
