Modern family represented in pictures

Children and young people from Moldova have a unique chance to express their feelings, emotions, frustrations and aspirations as regards the model of a modern family by participating in a media project, Info-Prim Neo reports. The right to a united family, to happy childhood and to show their talents as part of the media project “My Family” will be promoted during six months within three workshops. The young people eager to explore the media world have the possibility of demonstrating or developing their abilities to take pictures, make films and animated cartoons featuring the modern family. The given project is a challenge to the participants invited to express a new vision of the family through digital technologies and animated cartoons. The most skilful will have the possibility of producing materials on the given subject that will be placed on a website. Three workshops on animation, multimedia and photography will be held as part of the project under the common theme “My Family”. Afterwards, the participants’ works about the modern family with all its problems and joys will be displayed at exhibitions and meetings in summer camps and will be posted on the Internet. Young people aged between 15 and 30 are invited to take part in all the workshops, while the adolescents aged 6-14 only in the animation workshop. Those interested can send a motivation letter (indicating the workshop in which they want to participate) and a personal dossier with the works made until present. The deadline for applications is April 14, 2008. The project is organized by ARTIStudio Association in cooperation with the Municipal Division for Children’s Rights Protection, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and Terre des Hommes Foundation.
