The Sângerei District Hospital was equipped with modern medical equipment, which was purchased with Japanese funds, within the "Kusanone" Human Security Grant Program. The value of the donation was over 87 thousand dollars. The finalization ceremony of the Modernization Project took place on Friday, November 22. The event was attended by the Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Moldova, Masanobu Yoshii.
The director of the institution, Lilian Brînză, told IPN that a five-section surgery table and a surgical lamp for two-satellite operations were purchased within the Japanese project. There have already been around 300 complicated surgical interventions this year alone.
Additionally, high-frequency ultrasound devices were purchased, which were used in order to performed around six thousand ultrasonographies over the course of the year. More rehabilitation and physiotherapy machines were purchased, which performed over 25 thousand procedures.
Among the upgrades are two high end monitors for patients, which were installed in the resuscitation section. The director of the institution said that they allow to monitor practically all vital parameters - voltage, pulse, oxygenation, electrocardiogram, encephalogram, etc.
The Japanese Embassy in Chișinău stated in a press release that the purchase of these equipments improves the institution's ability to provide high quality medical services, namely diagnosis and treatment of gastroenterological pathologies, performing certain physioprocedures or operative and efficient surgical interventions, etc.
