The defection of Vadim Misin from the Communist faction left the moderate wing of the Communist Party without a leader. Therefore, more defections may follow, political analyst Anatol Taranu stated for Info-Prim Neo.
The analyst said that a battle between the moderate wing and the radical one is taking place inside the Communist Party and this battle started to produce results. Anatol Taranu said that when the head of state was elected, he projected that the dismemberment of the Communist Party started at that moment as it is unable to change its tactics, to abandon the radical platform and adjust to a new political situation created after the election of the President. “This forecast is likely to come true,” he stated.
Anatol Taranu stressed that Vadim Misin is not only a veteran of the PCRM. He is an emblematic figure as a large part of the Communist Party’s members grouped around him. “I mean the so-called veterans of the party and the moderate members. Now the moderate wing remained without a leader and this represents a victory for the radical wing,” he said.
Asked if Vadim Misin and the other two MPs who left the Communist faction on June 7 may influence things in Parliament, Anatol Taranu said they will have an influence, but not a decisive one.
