The ballots for the November 5 general local elections will be printed on matte paper and will have different colors. The models of ballots were approved by the Central Election Commission, IPN reports.
The ballots to elect the mayor of the village (commune) or town (municipality) will be pink. Those to elect the mayor of the municipality of Balti and the mayor general of the municipality of Chisinau will be violet.
The ballots to elect councilors on village (commune) and town (municipal) councils will be smoky gray in color, while those to elect councilors on district councils (Balti and Chisinau municipal councils) will be beige in color.
The district electoral councils of the first and second levels will approve the texts that will be written on ballots by October 15.
In the general local elections of November 5, voters are to elect 898 mayors and 11,058 local councilors, out of whom 9,972 will be village (commune) and town councilors, while 1,086 will be district/municipal councilors.
