Mobile phone intended for detainee hidden inside watermelon

Employees of Penitentiary No. 9 in Pruncul found a mobile phone hidden inside a pickled watermelon when checking the parcels transmitted by relatives to prisoners, Info-Prim Neo reports. The parcel was passed on by a 28-year-old man for a detainee aged 31, who was sentenced to six years in jail, the Department of Penitentiary Institutions says in a communiqué. The materials collected over the given case were sent to the Buiucani Police Commissariat, which is to decide whether to start a criminal case on this case.
