Mobile phone carriers inform subscribers how to prevent pandemic flu

The Ministry of Health in concert with two mobile phone operators working in Moldova have launched a campaign to inform the people about the prophylaxis and prevention of the spread of the A (H1N1) flu virus, Info-Prim Neo reports. Orange and Moldcell send SMSs to their subscribers, informing them about flu prevention measures. In order to provide the people with more information, the mobile phone carriers set up by a telephone line ( 413 – at Moldcell and 799 – at Orange) that the subscribers can use to find out additional information about the prevention of the pandemic flu. The subscribers are advised to access the website www.gripa.md for further details. Ten cases of A (H1N1) flu virus have been confirmed in Moldova so far.
