Mobiasbanca - Groupe Société Générale this month celebrates 150 years of the foundation of the group, which was created on May 4, 1864. On this occasion, the bank will launch a series of new products, some of which are novelties in Moldova, Mobiasbanca president Ridha Tekaia told a news conference, quoted by IPN.
The festivities that will be held to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Groupe Société Générale started on the first days of May, when Mobiasbanca launched the new design of its cards, equipped with chip. These are the cards Maestro, MasterCard, the Cherie Cherie collection, credit and debit cards in all the currencies. The president of Mobiasbanca said the new design was inspired by the main values of the bank - team spirit, confidence and safety.
“Not many companies achieved such results – 150 years of work. Owing to the periods of instability in these 150 years, we had to go through several crises, but I can say that we learned many things from each of them and today we are more powerful,” said Ridha Tekaia, adding that they remained faithful to their principles of deontology, stability and transparency in the period.
Within the festivities, on May 29 Mobiasbanca will launch a new card that is a novelty in Moldova. The president didn’t provide details about this product so as not to spoil the surprise. Over the next there months, Mobiasbancă will launch three products centering on cards, distance banking and insurance. “These products will be launched to satisfy the needs of our clients and to promote innovation in the banking sector of Moldova,” stated Ridha Tekaia.
Mobiasbanca supports culture, arts and sport. For six years already, the bank has been the official partner of the Rugby Federation of Moldova. This year, Mobiasbanca contributed to renewing the equipment of all the national teams of the country. “The national squad of Moldova does very well and achieved important results. We are proud that we are the partners of the national rugby team,” said Ridha Tekaia.
The president of the Rugby Federation of Moldova Vasile Revenco said that Mobiasbancă worked for the benefit not only of shareholders, but also of the whole community. “Team spirit means a lot for us because rugby would not exist without it,” he stated.
Mobiasbancă became part of Groupe Société Générale in 2007, when the group decided to create an economic tie between Europe and the CIS. The bank implemented the values and principles of the group and the know-how accumulated during 150 years of work.
