The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection proposes to increase the daily allowances for children placed in social services. The project is subject to public debate.
It is proposed that on normal days the allowance be increased from 13 to 15 lei, on the child's birthday - from 113 to 129 lei, and on holidays - from 80 to 92 lei, IPN reports.
The allowances are offered to children placed in professional parental care services, family-type orphanages, guardianship service, community homes for children at risk and placement centers for children separated from their parents.
The increases were calculated in relation to the consumer price index for the previous year, which, according to the National Bureau of Statistics, amounted to 113.94%. The funds needed for the increases were planned in the 2022 State Budget and amount to 13.9 million lei.
