Minority PCRM- PLDM government would mean reformulation of political commitments, NGO Council

The creation of a minority government forms part of a scenario that is detested by civil society as it would mean the reformulation of the political commitments, another government program and would represent a method to avoid certain responsibilities, the chairman of the NGO Council Sergiu Ostaf stated for Info-Prim Neo. “It is not a rational solution for us, while those that promote this idea do nothing but exempt the political class from responsibilities. We need to enter the essence of changes. Within two years we must reform the police, the prosecution services and the economic sector that is very monopolized,” stated Sergiu Ostaf. NGO Council secretary Antonita Fonari stressed that everyone should answer for what they did, while the parties should remove certain ministers and go on together with the current government as another government would cost us dear, especially in elections. The Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) withdrew from the agreement on the formation of the Alliance for European Integration (AEI). The announcement was made by the party’s leader, Prime Minister Vlad Filat in a press briefing on February 13. Vlad Filat said he wants to negotiate a new agreement on the AEI, which would exclude the oligarchic principles. The PLDM will continue to support the European integration policy and is against early elections. When the news story was published, the other two components of the AEI – the PDM and PL – haven’t yet announced their positions.
