A boy aged 17 died in Magdacesti village of Criuleni district while unloading fodder into the yard of a local in the evening of January 26. Press officer of the Criuleni Police Inspectorate Diana Maxim has told IPN that the boy was unloading the fodder together with another young man. The lift system failed and suddenly returned to the initial position.
The teen was thrown several meters away and died on the spot. The other man, aged 21, was admitted to the Emergency Hospital in Chisinau with a concussion. It happened at about 11:40pm.
A police investigation is under way to determine why the lift system failed and who is to blame.
