The lack of any progress in stabilizing the situation and ensuring the free circulation in the Security Zone, the dissatisfaction of the civil society, as well as Government’s commitment to make sure that the fundamental human rights are being respected impose identifying new solutions for overcoming the situation created, states a declaration of the Ministry of Reintegration. The Ministry is worried about the continuous tension of the situation created over the last few months in the Security Zone. The declaration states that the multiple incidents and violations which take place, mainly in Dubasari, are worrying in terms of serious violations of the human rights, as well as of the established regime in the Security Zone. The produced incidents concern firstly the right to free circulation of the population, merchandise and services, as well as the impediments to a free functioning of the educational institutions. According to the Ministry, the whole responsibility for these violations is attributed to the administration of the Dubasari city. The declaration also mentions that during a certain period of time the Ministry of Reintegration repeatedly addressed appeals, requests and claims to the international mediators and observers in the resolution process, as well as to the Joint Control Commission to take the necessary steps for stabilizing the situation and ensuring the free circulation in the Security Zone. The Ministry of Reintegration counts on the interest of the international mediators and observers, along with that of the responsible institutions in the Security Zone, to liquidate the instability in the region, and to prevent any further tension, states the declaration. Last week, the self-proclaimed Tiraspol regime blocked the way of a batch of textbooks destined to the students of “Lucian Blaga” lyceum in Tiraspol. The books were accompanied by Ion Iovcev, principal of the lyceum, Ludmila Savin, the lyceum’s librarian and by Nicolae Fachira, member of the parents’ council.
