Ministry of Health revises the Concept for Emergency Cases

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection needs to revise the Conception of providing medical assistance in emergency cases, minister’s consultant Mihai Pasla reported. It is one of the conclusions made by the participants at the International Conference „Doctors against terror”, held in Chisinau with the support of Doctors Association of Israel by World Congress of Russian-speaking Jews. „The experience of our colleagues from Israel is very useful for us. They have a sad experience, but absolutely useful, which have to be undertaken in order to provide qualified medical assistance in exceptional situations,” the specialist affirmed. In the same context, the manager of the National Scientific-Practical Center of Emergency Medicine, Gheorghe Ciobanu, noted that doctors of Moldova are aware of the danger of terrorist actions in daily life, and this needs a permanent preparedness to act operatively and face the situation. The danger can appear from inside as well as from outside, that is why all elements of international medical community has to act together. 280 doctors of emergency, pre-hospital and sanitary – epidemiological services of all districts of republic attended the conference.
