The Ministry of Education and Research launched the annual grants program for youth organizations, the 2022 edition. On a contest basis, financial and logistic support will be offered for implementing youth initiatives, programs and projects. A sum of 5.4 million lei in grant funding will be provided as part of the program, IPN reports.
The contest is open to noncommercial organizations that implement projects and programs with an impact on the young people, have co-financing and partnership agreements with different institutions and local and international donors and can cover an own contribution of at least 20% of the project’s value.
The highest budget for local projects is 50,000 lei, for regional projects – 200,000 lei, while for national projects – 300,000 lei. The proposed projects must have a maximum implementation period of seven months and must start not earlier than May 1 and end not later than November 30, 2022.
Priority will be given to projects that will cover 15% of the total number of young final beneficiaries from disadvantaged environments, young people who represent ethnic minorities or the neither working nor studying youth and to projects that will be implemented in localities in which the youth services and policies are underdeveloped.
Applications must be filed to the email address grant.tineret@mec.gov.md by March 18, 2022, 5pm. The NGOs that will be declared winners will present the set of documents in the original to the head office of the Ministry of Education and Research.
