The Ministry of Economy is to hold discussions with the suppliers so that they prevent disconnections from the electric power and natural gas supply. On January 26, Prime Minister Vlad Filat ordered taking this and other measures in connection with the low temperatures, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure will take steps to make sure that the national roads are passable. The Ministry of the Interior will place the firefighters and rescuers on alert so that they intervene swiftly when need be. The local public authorities were recommended to prepare rooms for the temporary accommodation of the homeless persons. The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health will supervise the work of the institutions managed by them so that they work properly. Weather forecasters said it will grow much colder towards the end of this week. After January 27, the temperatures will fall to minus 16 degree Celsius. Even lower temperatures are possible in the eastern districts of the country.
