Former Premier Vlad Filat does not believe that Minister of Health Andrei Usatyi bears direct responsibility for the situation at “Valentin Ignatenko” Hospital. In a program on N4 channel, the Liberal-Democratic leader said this case is a provocation aimed at discrediting the health sector, IPN reports.
“It is evident that serious assessment is needed as regards the work of the medical-sanitary institutions. Such an assessment should result in definite decisions, while those who are responsible for this situation must be penalized,” said Vlad Filat.
Andrei Usatyi was named to the post of minister of health by the Liberal Democratic Party.
In a film broadcast over the Internet earlier this week, doctors of the Chisinau Children’s Hospital “Valentin Ignatenko” use an industrial drill during surgery. The Ministry of Health orders an investigation. The results will be made known on August 7.
