Moldova's Minister of Justice Oleg Efrim is participating in the annual Council of Europe's Conference of Ministers of Justice, taking palace in Vienna. This year's conference is dedicated to responses of justice to urban violence, including issues such as organized groups and juveniles as both perpetrators and victims. The theme was selected in reaction to the 2011 street violence in Britain involving students. At the conclusion of the conference, which will last for three days, its participants will adopt a resolution on the responses of justice to urban violence. Another issue addressed in a narrower circle at the conference is corruption in European countries. During debates on the subject, Oleg Efrim said that the Moldovan Ministry of Justice has developed and promoted in Parliament a ample set of bills to combat corruption. In Vienna, Oleg Efrim signed on behalf of Moldova the Council of Europe's Convention on the counterfeiting of medical products and similar crimes involving threats to public health, adopted in Moscow in October 2011.
