For his part, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Daniel Vodă said that the Embassy of Moldova in Ankara and Moldova’s Consulate General in Istanbul are permanently in touch with the competent authorities of Turkey so as to find out if the victims include Moldovan citizens. The information accumulated so far shows no Moldovans suffered in the attacks.

In case of necessity, the citizens of the Republic of Moldova in Istanbul can get in touch with the Consulate General through the email address istanbul@mfa.gov.md or through the Consulate’s emergency phone number for exceptional situations: +90 (535) 983 01 73.
