The City Hall modified, as of September 1, the municipal network of routes serviced by microbuses. A decision on this matter was signed by the interim mayor of Chisinau, Vasile Ursu.
Therefore, several minibus routes have been shifted from Puskin Street to Mihai Eminescu Street. The City Hall claims this decision was taken to improve the quality of Chisinau public transport, to assure a proper traffic on Puskin Street and to help diminish environment pollution.
As a result of the change in routes, the 107, 110, 155 and 180 minibuses will run from A. Mateevici Street on the M. Eminescu, Alexandru cel Bun, A. Puskin Street and then on the previous route. The same route will have the minibuses number 116, 127 and 129.
Also, the number 2 minibus will be called „M. Eminescu Street – Grenoble Street”. Route no. 11 will run from the 31 August 1989 Street on the Mihai Eminescu, Columna Street and then on the old itinerary. On route 192 the path will change from A. Mateevici Street on Armeneasca, Alexandru cel Bun, Puskin Streets, and the route no. 124 – from Mateevici Street on M. Eminescu and Kogalniceanu Streets.
The route no. 175 has been changed from Bucuresti Street on Armeneasca, Alexandru cel Bun and A. Puskin Streets, the route no. 193 – from M. Kogalniceanu Street on Mihai Eminescu and 31 August 1989 Streets.
According to the orders of the general interim mayor, the Road Police Service of the General Police Department of the Chisinau municipality was required to take actions in order to assure fluent traffic on Mihai Eminescu and Alexandru cel Bun Streets and to elaborate, until September 10, the installation scheme of the road signs on these streets.
The General Department of Public Transport and Communication has produced a new circulation scheme for the public transport from Chisinau, at the request of the Municipal Council of Chisinau in order to avoid the superposition of the routes of minibuses and those of autobuses and trolleybuses.
