Three girls suffered serious injuries when they were struck by a white minibus in a crosswalk on Calea Iesilor St in Chisinau yesterday evening. The minibus did not stop to help. Chisinau Ambulance Service managing doctor Anatol Proca has told Info-Prim Neo that one of the girls aged 21 was rushed to the Emergency Hospital, while the others aged 15 and 16 were admitted to the children’s hospital “Valentin Ignatenko”. They suffered concussions, thoracic contusion, injury to internal organs and other traumas. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Traffic Police Division spokeswoman Dana Andronic said the driver of the minibus was identified soon. He is liable to a fine of up to 10,000 lei or up to two years’ imprisonment. Twelve persons were injured in road accidents in Moldova on September 7. Seven of them were hurt in Chisinau.
