Minibus running on route in Chisinau crashes into truck

A minibus running on route No. 180 ran into a truck parked by the roadside on Grigore Vieru Blvd. in Chisinau. A female passenger was rushed to the hospital, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to inspector of the Traffic Police Division’s PR Service Aurelia Mija, the truck conveyed goods to a shop situated nearby and was parked legally. There was no passenger in the minibus when the police arrived. The driver said that there was only a woman aged 64 in the vehicle when the accident happened. She was taken to the hospital by an ambulance. As a result of the collision, the door was blocked and the woman was taken out through a broken window. The police presume there may have been other passengers who got out through the window. An investigation is under way. If the accident happened through the driver’s fault, he will be punished according to the seriousness of the injuries suffered by passengers. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, managing doctor of the Chisinau Ambulance Service Anatol Proca said the woman suffered a concussion and a forehead wound.
