The Tiraspol-based Lucian Blaga Lyceum has received a minibus as a gift from the National Foundation for Romanians Everywhere, which covered the largest part of the donation's cost, and a Moldovan businessmen. The donation was made on Romania's National Day on December 1, Info-Prim Neo reports. “We have a durable relationship with the Romanian schools across the Nistru River. Today's event has a symbolical importance, because the minibus is donated on Romania's Day. Romania helps her sons, she doesn't forsake them and stays close to them no matter the circumstances. We want to give a signal to those who yearn for Romania”, said Mihai Gheorghiu, representative from the Romanian Foreign Ministry's Department for the Relations with the Romanians Everywhere. “We don't fight with arms, but with the word. Today we return to Tiraspol on our own minibus. Now we'll visit Chisinau more often”, said Ion Iovcev, principal at Lucian Blaga Lyceum. Attending the event, several students at Lucian Blaga, one of the very few Romanian-language schools in the disputed province of Transnistria, said the donation is “a dream come true”.
