Minibus crashes into utility pole in Chisinau municipality

A minibus running on route No. 129 in Chisinau municipality skidded and went into a fence and then into a utility pole. Traffic Police Division PR inspector Aurelia Mija has told Info-Prim Neo that the accident has happened on a street in Durlesti town this morning, at about 8am. The driver said the road was icy. The two persons who were traveling in the minibus were helped by passersby to get out through the window. Chisinau Ambulance Service managing doctor Anatol Proca said a 53-year-old woman suffered a concussion and a left shoulder injury, while a man aged 22 – injury to the left kidney and a lumbar trauma. The Chisinau City Hall issued a communique, denying the driver's assertion that the accident happened because the road was icy. According to the communique, eyewitnesses said the minibus was speeding.
