The budget-funded employees will have a mini-vacation from May 1 until May 5, when they will return to work, IPN reports.

May 1, when it is marked the International Workers’ Day, is traditionally a nonworking day, instituted by a Parliament Decision on commemorative days, holidays and nonworking days in Moldova.

As May 1 this year falls on a Thursday and the budget-funded employees have to work only on Friday after it, the Government decided to make May 2 also a nonworking day. Instead, the budget-funded employees will work for this day on May 17, which falls on a Saturday. Thus, the mini-vacation will last for four days, until Monday, May 5.

May 9 is also a nonworking day. As it falls on a Friday, the budget-funded employees will again rest for three days next weekend.
