National Culture Day brought a special gift to book lovers—a European mini-library set up in Parliament Square. This cultural space, designed to encourage reading, operates on the principle: "Take a book, leave a book!" IPN reports.
The mini-library features wooden boxes filled with books, with the first donations made by Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, alongside deputies, officials, and a group of enthusiastic children. Their favorite books are now available to anyone who wishes to read them.
The Parliament Speaker encouraged the public to contribute their own books and actively promote reading.
"Let’s fill this little house with our small contributions and read, because reading is food for the soul, both for adults and children," urged Igor Grosu.
The project was carried out in collaboration with the "Proactive Diplomacy" Association and supported by partners such as the "Diplomacy on the Rocks" club, "Sandro Livv," and "C Holding." Igor Mînăscurtă, a representative of the association, emphasized that such mini-libraries are becoming increasingly popular and invited book lovers to get involved by sharing and recommending books.
The space is open to everyone—parents, children, grandparents—and offers an excellent opportunity to discover new stories and share the joy of reading.
