The former striker of the national Under-21 team of Moldova Nicolae Milinceanu played his first match for Rapid Bucuresti in the 1/16 finals of Romania’s Cup, against FC Botosani.
Milinceanu entered the field in the 72nd minute and played also in the overtime where Rapid was luckier. The 22-year-old striker had a good performance, but was also shown a yellow card.
“I’m very glad that Rapid scored a victory in my first match played for this team. It was a difficult game,” Nicolae Milinceanu has told IPN. In his career, he played in the final of Moldova’s Cup with Veris. Together with this team he won bronze the previous season.
This evening, Moldovan footballer Catalin Carp could make his debut for CFR Cluj in Romania’s Cup, in the encounter against Viitorul Axintele.
