Mihail Magdei: I didn’t know anything about my dismissal

Mihail Magdei, Deputy Minister of Health and also State Sanitary Chief Doctor, says that he didn’t know anything about his dismissal that was announced by Minister of Health Andrei Usatii during a Government meeting. Magdei told Info-Prim Neo that he had seen the news in the press, and hadn’t actually written any resignation letter.
Mihail Magdei says that it has been three days since he returned from vacation. “I came to work in the morning, didn’t write any letter of resignation, and started my workday”, says Magdei, adding. “I think I managed well in these two and a half years. More than 32 legislative acts were promoted at Government meetings; I have supported tens of national programs. Thus, the service of healthcare supervision is working. I have never been involved in corruption”.
Magdei said that in the three days since his return from vacation, he hasn’t spoken to the Minister other than on the phone. He admitted that there some misunderstandings with the Minister during his activity, but they had been resolved.
Mihail Magdei said that, in the near future, he will take some rest and prepare for other activities.
Today, August 8, through a Government’s decision, Mihail Magdei was dismissed from his position. Under another decision, the position of State Sanitary Chief Doctor will be occupied by Deputy Minister of Health Octavian Grama.
