Mihail Kogalniceanu Lyceum marks 20th anniversary

The theoretical lyceum “Mihail Kogalniceanu” in Chisinau marks its 20th anniversary of foundation, Info-Prim Neo reports. Natalia Timofei, the director of the school, says that at 20 years it can boast a high level of organizational culture. The lyceum is a member of the global network of superior schools where German is taught and a model of partnership with national and international institutions, in particular from Germany. “We are proud to have great achievements, expressed in the students' successes at the school competitions, academic conferences, BAC exams, graduation exams and German language exams”, said Natalia Timofei. Attending the anniversary, German Ambassador to Moldova Berthold Johannes said he is very pleased that the lyceum has partnerships with many different organizations in Germany, which allows the students to visit his country and see the German educational institutions. Some classes of German at Kogalniceanu are taught by teachers from Germany. In addition, 15-18-year-old students have the opportunity to spend a year at a school in Germany as part of the lyceum's international student exchange program. Currently, 707 students study at Mihail Kogalniceanu.
