The president of the Supreme Court of Justice Mihai Poalelungi was appointed as Constitutional Court judge for a term of six years. In its March 6 meeting, the Superior Council of Magistracy examined the file of the only applicant for the post, of Mihai Poalelungi. The Council unanimously voted in favor of the only candidate, IPN reports.
The post of judge of the Constitutional Court was vacated by Tudor Pantiru at the end of this January.
Since 2012 until recently, Mihai Poalelungi served as judge at the Supreme Court of Justice and as president of this Court. He resigned from both of the posts. Parliament is to pronounce on the resignations.
