Mihai Godea supports Oazu Nantoi

Unaffiliated MP Mihai Godea said Oazu Nantoi is a better candidate for the post of head of state than Leonid Talmaci, but the latter also deserves being considered. “The decision of Mister Nantoi surprised me. I know that he is a wise and very balanced man, takes decisions based on emotions and has rich political experience. He hasn’t been a member of a political party lately and this makes him a suitable candidate. We will see if he finds the necessary support to officially become a candidate for the presidency,” Mihai Godea stated for Info-Prim Neo. As to the Communists’ candidate, the MP said it was an interesting proposal. “Mister Talmaci is not a politician and does not have great political experience, but I’m not sure that this is bad given the present situation in Moldova. He did a good job at the National Bank, introduced the national currency and took step to stabilize it over time,” said Mihai Godea. In order to be registered as presidential candidates, the applicants need the support of at least 15 MPs. The head of state is elected by at least 61 votes of MP. The elections were set for January 15.
