Mihai Godea: Not Timofti should be looking for votes

The leader of the Democratic Acton Party (PAD) Mihai Godea, after a meeting with the presidential candidate Nicolae Timofti, said that not the candidate should be looking for votes. According to him, this is the task of those who fielded this candidate – the leaders of the AEI, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Mister Timofti is not a political leader and does not pursue political goals. This should be done by the ruling alliance. It must make sure that the candidate will secure the number of votes needed for the elections to be validated. We still have doubts as regards the legality of the process,” said Mihai Godea. He approved of Nicolae Timofti’s courage to run for the presidency when there is no guarantee. According to the lawmaker, the discussion with Nicolae Timofti centered on a number of issues, including the situation in the legal system and the Transnistrian conflict. The candidate for the presidency did not make statements. The meeting was held behind closed doors and lasted for 1 hour and 40 minutes.
